How to Archive your Site

We've had a few emails coming in over the last few weeks querying how to archive a Web Teams site so it is ready for the new season.

It's hopefully quite easy - but here's a few screenshots below that should help...

1. Click the Archive Site option within your site admin area

Archive 1

2. Click to confirm

Archive 2

This then does a few things:

  • Your previous season's site is archived

  • You must return to the team entry page and set up your site for the new season

  • Once your new site is set up - links to the old site(s) will be automatically added

  • Previous season's data is also used on player stats pages

Archive 3

If you want to know more about the archive process please check out our help page on this:

All information such as club details, player details, league rules etc... are saved and you must simply confirm this as you set up your site for the following season.

Obviously you may want to remove one or two players and change team details.

Player and team pictures are not carried forward. This gives you a chance to refresh them - or upload the ones you want to keep again.

My team page is

James,

You can only archive sites from the previous football season.

Your site is from the 2008/09 season so you cannot currently archive it.

Maybe reset it and start again or start up a new site?
